Successful test of Starship and improvement of the robot Fedor. The essay on the history of space exploration.

'6 MAY [2021], 01:30 Updated 02:05. The Starship prototype has successfully landed while testing in Texas. NEW YORK, May 6 [2021]. / TASS /. (...) ["Starship SN15 launch day!"] " Starship landing nominal!" ["A normal landing of the Starship"], - wrote the head of SpaceX Elon Musk on Twitter at the end of the tests.

The previous test flight of the Starship prototype took place on March 30 [2021], and the craft crashed on landing. During similar tests in December 2020 and February this year, prototypes also exploded immediately upon contact with the site. In early March, SpaceX managed to land the Starship vertically, but it exploded a few minutes later. (...)

The Starship reusable spacecraft is designed for flights to Mars and is designed for 100 people. Musk previously said that the first test flight in low-earth orbit is likely to take place this year. He admitted that these plans may be revised. " (https://tass.ru/kosmos/11313443) [unofficial translation]

The Starship spacecraft is designed to fly to the moon. According to preliminary descriptions, it is - potentially - a multifunctional transport device capable, due to its capacity, volume, to serve as a semblance of a space station or space base.

The long period of testing of Starship prototypes ended in success.

If the numerous unsuccessful previous tests of Starship someone could considered as a kind of justification for Russia's current positions in the space industry, then the success of the Starship prototype test changes the whole general view of the arrangement of players in the space sphere.

Is the success of the Starship prototype an epochal event or (only) a significant one?

It all depends on the future success of the project. In case of the high level of success of the Starship project, today we are dealing with an epoch-making event.

With a low success level, we are dealing with a very significant event.

Thus, in any case, we are witnessing a very significant phenomenon of a civilizational scale.

Anyone who assumes that the success of the Starship prototype should be followed by resignations, proceedings and a complete reorganization of the Russian space industry will be mistaken. It is a style for effective managers to hold on to power, no matter what, and try their best to keep financial flows under control.

Someone (from the circle of observers) will focus on slow response and passivity. He will recall the hypnotized rabbit staring at the boa constrictor. But this is a false analogy.

In fact, effective managers take a very realistic attitude. The Soviet intelligentsia (technical intelligentsia) at different times had a different level of creative abilities. But she had a creative abilities.

Now is the era of the destruction of the intelligentsia.

With the destruction of the intelligentsia, both creative abilities and creative level also disappear.

What remains? Remains - a total monitoring (surveillance) and repressive functions.

A modern tactics are based on total monitoring, on filtering the Internet, on the remnants (archive's) of the former creative potential.

Pretend nothing significant happened. In the meantime, search, filter, find something, use (if possible - without specifying the author).

The result of such tactics is the fact that Russia has fallen back over the passed years of the 21st century to the third position in the field of space. The United States and China are taking the lead.

What's in the future? In the long term, it is quite real that Russia will lose the third place and will fall out (will drop) into the group of countries (several dozen countries) that previously had nothing to do with space achievements, but due to the general cultural and civilizational trends (tendencies) joined space activities. Launching and using satellites, scientific research (without launching a man into space), connecting on non-core roles to other countries's space programs.

It's possible to improve the robot Fedor ...
