The modern Mini-Internet exhibition in honor of November 20, 1941. A culturological essay.
The twenties [days] of November are approaching.
81 years ago, in 1941, the battle for Rostov-on-Don took place.
The entire southern strategic flank was defended and protected, as well as the transport communications that connected the USSR with the allies through Iran (Persian Gulf - Iran - the Caucasus).
The day of November 20, 1941 was of particular, key importance.
The enemy's entry into the city of Rostov-on-Don was comparatively sudden.
However, "Berezina" ["chaos and disaster"] did not happen. The formations of the Red Army managed to withdraw out of the city in relative order, quickly increase their combat capability, and after few days force the enemy to retreat from the city.
I wrote - in sufficient detail - about the defense of Rostov on November 20, 1941 (in the area of the modern Komsomolskaya Square). [For example: MMCMXX. The collection of letters and postcards "After 48 years: Postal documents of the participants of the battle of November 20, 1941 - the fight on Rostov-Gora". An archival essay. - April 30, 2022]
On May 1, 2022, in honor of Victory Day, I opened an exhibition of photographs and postal documents of participants in the battle in Rostov-on-Don on November 20, 1941. [MMCMXXII. In honor of Victory Day. The exhibition of photographs and postal documents of participants in the battle in Rostov-on-Don on November 20, 1941. A culturological essay. - May 1, 2022] The exhibition ran for several weeks.
Now, with the twenties [days] of November approaching, in addition to the format of a regular exhibition, I can take advantage of the opportunities of an online exhibition.
An online exhibition should be compact and understandable. It will be a mini-Internet exhibition.
One of the services on which I post my works allows you to accompany an Internet publication [work] with only one illustration. For this option, I will have to do with a [the one] photograph (a photograph from a photograph): A collective photograph - the participants of the meeting are standing on Budyonnovsky Prospekt. In the background is the building [house] at the Budyonnovsky Prospekt, 96.
(In separate, previously published materials of April - March 2022, I can place separate video files [photo files, scans]).
Another service suggests the possibility of hosting multiple video files. (Next to the title of the work, the item 'illustrations' appears - in the plural ...). In this case, apparently, it will be possible to place all the video files.
[In fact (in practice), when placing scans , difficulties arose, the details of which here no sence to discuss. So I had to take photos and to post photos of documents instead of the "good" scans.]
I will list the video files that I intend to place (one file - one page; the reader goes mentally from page to page):
The group photo - the photo of Leonid Trofimovich Starodubtsev [second from left], Georgy Andreevich Lebedev [third from left], Jozefa Adamovna Zalesskaya [first from right]. In addition, the photo shows two more people who are identified presumably: the wife of Leonid Starodubtsev [first on the left] and the grandson of Georgy Lebedev [second on the right]. In total, five people are depicted in the photo. All of them stand on Budennovsky Prospekt. In the background, the house (is located at 96, Budennovsky Prospekt). The photo is conditionally dated by me to July-August 1989 (meeting time: between July 25, 1989 and August 3, 1989). [MMCMXIX. The list of 7 photos. A collection of photographs "More than 45 years - after the battle on Rostov-Gora on November 20, 1941". An archival essay. - April 30, 2022]
A collective photograph - the photo of the participants in the defense of Rostov on November 20, 1941 (and their relatives) against the background of the monument on Komsomolskaya Square. This photograph taken from about 50 meters away. It depicts: the grandson of Georgy Lebedev [presumably] [first from left], Lebedev Georgy Andreevich [second from left], wife of Leonid Starodubtsev [presumably] [third from left], Leonid Starodubtsev [fourth from left], son of Georgy Lebedev [presumably] [fifth from the left], Zalesskaya Jozefa Adamovna [first from the right].
A photo taken in the apartment [flat] of the Zalesskys. Georgy Andreevich Lebedev [first from left], Jozefa Adamovna Zalesskaya [second from left], Leonid Starodubtsev's wife [presumably] [third from left], Leonid Starodubtsev [fourth from left] - they are sitting at the festive table with a cake. Two people are standing: the son of Georgy Lebedev [presumably] [first from left], grandson of Georgy Lebedev [presumably] [second from left]. (Photo from photo: resulting in poor image quality.)
A collective photograph taken on Budennovsky Prospekt: Lebedev Georgy Andreevich [left] and Leonid Trofimovich Starodubtsev [right] (between whom there is a boy - apparently, the grandson of Georgy Lebedev.
The letter by Starodubtsev L.T. dated August 3, 1989. The gratitude for a well-organized (by Associate Professor Zalessky) meeting in Rostov , for the "wonderful reception". (Mentioned "associate professor Zalessky, who defended Rostov-Gora"). (The mention: "from the newspaper "Molot" met three soldiers"). ('We will be happy to write. Our dear comrades in arms.') [MMCMXX. The collection of letters and postcards "After 48 years: Postal documents of the participants of the battle of November 20, 1941 - the fight on Rostov-Gora". An archival essay. - April 30, 2022]
The letter by L.T. Starodubtsev dated June 13, 1989 (with an envelope). ' Hello, dear comrades in arms Yuzefa Adamovna and Vladimir Vasilievich. (...) Our military unit of the military-political school of the North Caucasus Military District, in which we - along with Georgy Andreyevich Lebedev - were cadets and carried out the combat mission of the command of the school."
A draft of the address by Zalessky Vladimir Vasilievich to the first secretary of the Rostov Regional Committee of the CPSU comrade. Vlasov A.V. (a (hard to read, hard to see) pencil note: "November 28, 1984"). [MMDCCCXLVIII. Vladimir Vasilievich writes a letter to the patriot of the Soviet Motherland, comrade Vlasov A.V. An archival essay. - March 27, 2022]
A reply (dated December 06, 1984 number 3-12261 / 02) (signed by the Head of the Department of Propaganda and Agitation of the Regional Committee of the CPSU G. Taranukha) (with an envelope) to Zalessky Vladimir Vasilievich. [MMDCCCXLV. There was a battle in a history. Vladimir Vasilievich makes an attempt to save the history of the defense of Rostov-on-Don in November 1941. An archival essay. - March 25, 2022] [MMDCCCXLVIII. Vladimir Vasilievich writes a letter to the patriot of the Soviet Motherland, comrade Vlasov A.V. An archival essay. - March 27, 2022]
The publication in the Molot newspaper - '... (Vladimir Vasilievich Zalessky "... There was a battle on the square" ("Molot", issue number 108 (20197) of May 9, 1989, on page 3) [MMDCCCXLV. There was a battle in a history. Vladimir Vasilievich makes an attempt to save [to preserve] the history of the defense of Rostov-on-Don in November 1941. An archival essay. - March 25, 2022]
Relevant video files can be additionally placed in previously made publications in March-April-May 2022.
The mini-Internet exhibition will contribute to filling in the gaps in the history of the Great Patriotic War and will become an event in honor of November 20, 1941.
